I should have read these reviews prior to purchasing our trailer at Comox Valley RV. My mistake. Just like many other poor reviews our experience with the service department was beyond poor. Bought a new trailer in mid July and after the second trip the slide wouldn't retract all the way in. Service department said it was a faulty slide motor and they were surprised at that since the \slide technology has been around for a long time and is really basic technology.\ They replaced the slide motor and I picked up the trailer. Third trip out (Mid August) the slide wouldn't retract at all and I had to drive home with the slide out. \Slide motor again\ said the service department. I waited a few weeks for a new motor to come from the US and they installed a new motor. Still didn't work. \Its the wiring harness\ said the service department. A month for that to arrive from the US. \Wrong part was sent\! Another couple weeks for the right part to arrive. Finally fixed (fingers crossed!) mid October. Apparently the \basic technology\ is a little more advanced than they think. Not at any time did the service department take any responsibility for the fact that they misdiagnosed the problem or screwed up our first summer of camping with our trailer. Its spent more time in their shop than it has with us so far. The last hurrah was when I asked to purchase a cover for the trailer. They had one left in stock. I asked if they would give me a discount on it for my trouble. In my mind I was thinking 10-15%. There was a one word answer to that...\NO\. I bought one online instead. Beware.

We bought our first travel trailer from Comox Valley RV a little over a year ago. So far our experience with this dealer has been good. I would not say fantastic, but I have no real complaints. When we first bought, the finance guy seems angry and insulted that we turned down the extended warranty. We have great credit and were also unhappy with the interest rate offered and decided not to buy. He said there was nothing they could do, but after some back and forth and a few days he was able to get the rate down to something we were happy with. I am not sure if he really worked hard to get the rate, or just played the \game\ to see if we would settle, but at the end of the day we were satisfied. We have had a couple warranty issues over the past year and they were repaired to our satisfaction. The only advice I have for the service guys is to be more communicative. When the trailer has been in the shop for work, I always seem to have to phone to ask if it is done as opposed to getting a call to let me know I can pick it up. This is certainly not a big deal at all, but something that would make the experience better. My trailer is now slated for a major repair due to an accident (not my fault) so I am hoping that after that repair is completed I still have good things to say! I will definitely be updating this review once that is complete to share that experience (hopefully positive!)
We were so happy with our rental! We rented an RV for 2 weeks and \camped\ on nana and papa's property. Loved the bunk beds, separate bedroom, pull outs for couch and table. Our kids were thrilled. So grateful for all the help from Lori as we navigated our first RV rental!
Great experience considering the odd year we are having. Our initial trailer was cancelled but as the world began to open we received word a trailer came available. Booking this trailer was insanely easy thanks to Lori. When we arrived at our destination the trailer was delivered and installed alleviating all the stress of the holiday. When I could not figure something out in the middle of the night I emailed and had a response bright and early just what I like. Thanks again Lori for making this so easy and the rest of the team at Comox Valley RV job well done.
Helpful staff. Rented a trailer from there. Easy as it gets
