This is a nice hostel. I stayed in both the dorms as well as a private room. It is social and has a common area with plenty of places to ‘chill out’ the lady that makes breakfast is sooo sweet! I really loved her. She was delightful. The staff is also friendly. The dorm rooms weren’t that comfortable - the light / outlet at my bed did not work and if someone took a shower then the bathroom flooded. The private room was better and I was able to actually sleep.

I really like it here, the location is kinda ok, there are no groceries stores near by but a fee really good restaurants are walking distance, the beds and pillows were comfortable, every bunk has a light and an electric outlet. Something I really liked was that they give really good towels with a deposit (not a payment) of 1000 rupees and they also give a locker key with thr same deposit, the bathrooms sadly are cubicle style but with a bit of space, showers also are on thr tight side. The common area is great and the restaurant on the ground floor is amazing and reasonably priced, the art work is breathtaking!

Bunkyard hostel is the best hostel to stay in colombo. I was surprised to see the cleanliness of this hostel. Very nice and clean bunkbeds and also clean bathrooms. The location is far from city but it is a very peaceful place. We enjoyed our stay. Kudos to team bunkyard.
Very accommodating and close to most things! Nice beds, clean, good locker next to the bed, AC, eco-thinking (recycled and local materials), big spacious showers/bathroom with hot (!) showers. I only noted that the dorms should have a key for all the people staying in that particular dorm. The owner said he will think about it. Would come here again!
Modern, clean, good food, convenient location, great service (both night time and day time managers were very hands-on in ensuring that guests have a great experience). The layout encourages social interaction with other travellers but smoking is allowed in the lounge area.
