Really lovely place to visit, kept immaculate, visitor centre closed due to covid restrictions but as you see in photos some history here. The dates on headstones and plaques make for some interesting reading Wish I had a bit more time to explore just diverted off motorway when I saw sign as heard about it before.

Fantastic place to visit, loads to see, great parking and lovely staff. This is a fantastic location with loads to see. You can take photos but not for commercial use, for that you must obtain permission for the OPW. You will need a least 45 minutes to take it all in and enjoy all it has to offer and you will find the staff very friendly and informative, there is a great car park outside and you will have more than enough to do looking and exploring the ancient ruins and way of life from so many years ago. Its location right beside the Shannon river only adds to its attraction and you will have a fantastic time on your visit, I cant thank the staff for all there help and information. It is suitable for families and the elderly but I'm not sure is those with a disability would be able to explore this site as intended, but dont pass it up if you are in the area, it amazing, enjoy

We rather stumbled across this. It is a fabulous place to visit and to remind you to build far away from Vikings

A few things closed but half price entry to make up for it. We came in on a boat and it was a bit windy and trust me it was bumpy. Do not moor up in the wind nightmare to get out again! It's cool to see as it's such a part of our history.

Moderately interesting. I didn't get a tour guide because of the virus, and couldn't go into the museum. Not to mention I had a cold and it was raining, but obviously that doesn't impact my review. The ruins were easily accessible with a few low doors, and there was a couple things to read around the site. Not my kind of thing but it would be a nice morning out for adults, children wouldn't be so interested.
