dear RTO office you should maintain discipline while people standing in a appropriate line. and my dear RTO office staff we all know that you are a government employee so don't be lazy, please maintain time. official work start at 11:10 am...is it okk..!!!

People crowd here from morning 8am in front of the counters that open at 11 am. There are 4 counters. First one for clicking picture, second one for learner test document verification, third one for driving test document verification and the fourth counter is for renewal of license verification. Each verification takes almost 30seconds of time. You have to show your original documents during verification. If you come here after 11:30 the crowd decreases.

I visited this place for 4 wheeler learners test and document verification on 14.09.2020. The process is given below. 1. You have to reach the office early on the day of your verification and write your name on an A4 sheet available near the entrance gate. The verification will be done as per the sequence of name on that sheet so make sure to write your name first to get things done early. 2. The verification process will begin from 11-11.15 am. You have to make a queue infront of counter-1 (for learners test) and submit the application form, original documents (adhaar card, 10th marksheet or which ever photocopy is attached with the application form). 3. After verification you have to proceed to the counter on the extreme right in the same row to take photograph. 4. Then you will have to make queue for the online test. A login password will be sent to your registered mobile number which you will have to enter before taking the test. The test will consist of 10 questions out of which 6 answers needs to be correct to pass the exam. 30 sec will be given to answer each question. After you have passed the test the invigilator will write your application no on a register and ask you to sign it. Now you can leave for the day. Best of luck for the test!!!

Take a good amount of time in hand for any kind of work here. In every counter there is a long queue. The best time is 1pm.

Though everything is online now but this L.A. HOOGHLY RTO office is still in favour of Agents. Normal public gets long long months of waiting, but agents gets your work done in few days. In case of individual application of driving license you have to visit RTO office minimum 5 times in a gap of 21 to 30 days. And West Bengal government is promoting the ads on TV that you can get your license within weeks. But that is not implemented by L.A. HOOGHLY.

It’s a good experience to visit the ITO Hooghly at Cuchura today. The staff concerned are cooperative and very much prompt in discharging their duties.
