Hg Matthews fitted a wood burner and lined my chimney. Great service from start to finish with advice on the type of stove I should consider , realistic transparent costings of fitting and the various hardware required. Fitting was done in less than a day with no mess. The work team were very considerate and covered all Furniture to avoid any dust . Great result , highly recommended . Thanks

I had always dreamt of the perfect fireplace and I had done scrupulous research on what I wanted. I have been to many other shops and they had a nice range of products, however as soon as I walked into HG Matthews I knew that I was in the right place. For me above all was the service, quality of products and professionalism. One of the owners helped me through the whole process and made sure that I was completely satisfied. I would definitely give this a five star rating for service and for helpfulness… William was particularly attentive and made sure that I got value for money. I've visited H.G. Matthews Fireplaces it's a hidden gem with a great selection of fireplaces, including modern fireplaces. All competitively priced too. Running for years, the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.
I have always been delighted with the service I have received from HG Matthews over the years - the company went out of their way recently , when repairing our Edwardian Fireplaces throughout the house. The staff and engineers are first rate - I highly recommend this company.
Well worth the countryside drive to the company’s showroom, all the staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful on site. I went for the Kensington fireplace with the black marble but I was a little worried that it wouldn’t fit in with my living room decor. However, the staff showed me all the various finishes and marbles and were suggesting various colours that worked for me. Finally had it installed. Very professional workmanship and the fitters cleaned up properly (to my high standards :-)). I’m really happy with the purchase and most importantly it looks great! Highly recommended company and very friendly service. Thank you.
