Reasonable place for a late snack, offers a grilled meat selection and a number of deserts. Steaks might not be that good, but deserts sweeten the meal. Staff are friendly and caring.

Wow. Best. Salad. In. The. World. Salade Complète, with a fried egg, cubes of cheese, sliced fried potatoes, and goat cheese on toast. (No, this is not a light salad.) The dressing is like nothing I've ever had - it's amazing.

Very friendly service, and great food. I had the steak tartare but their burgers are great as well. After you meal, you can walk along Rue Mouffetard.

My family was in Paris for 10 days and ventured to many restaurants/brasseries. Cave La Bourgogne was by far our favorite for the amazing confit du canard that was served with garlic potatoes and a salad. The meal is very comforting, delicious, reasonably priced, and consistently wonderful. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming with many locals randomly encountering friends. We visited 3 times for dinner, unable to find another meal that could compete (even in the fanciest restaurant on the 1st floor of the Eiffel tower!). The pictures do not do the meal justice.
