My wife and I attended Casa Nola's level 1 Spanish class in anticipation of a trip to Argentina. Neither of us have any background in the Spanish language and we were starting from scratch. I have to say, in only 8 weeks, the class provided us a basic knowledge of spanish language that served us well on our trip. The class is a combination of oral excercises, repetition, and some written excersises, which works well for all types of learners. Our teacher (Victoria Mondejar) created a welcome, relaxed environment for adult students that allowed everyone to progress at their own pace. The class was welcoming and interactive and everyone was comfortable trying to pronounce new words. While I wish we had had time to do the first 2 levels before our trip, the basics that the level one class taught served us well in Argentina. On many occasions I tried out my new Spanish and a native would respond thinking I was fluent in Spanish. I highly recommend Casa Nola for Spanish instruction, both to get an understanding for the language and an enjoyable way to spend an evening with a fun group.
