Avoid at all costs, I called Capital repairs for a tumble dryer repair and was quoted 90 for a call out charge. The engineer came out and diagnosed the fault, i was told the thermostat for the dryer needed replacing and was informed the company would be in touch to order said part. To my shock the engineer then took out an invoice for 108! 18 more than i was quoted, when I queried this with the office they said it was for VAT, but they had failed to mention this when they gave me a quote, i asked that they check their call recordings as i was adamant i was told that 90 was the final figure and if i was wrong i was happy to pay the extra 18 the operator agreed but did not offer to check. I refused to pay the 18 extra out of principle and the operator accepted and i paid the sum of 90. However, i still needed my tumble dryer repaired so i asked for a quote on the part and was given an extortionate price of 80, a quick check online would reveal the true price of the part was 20. i wasn’t sure if the price quoted was in some way to recuperate the 18 i refused to pay as there was no other explanation as to why they would charge 4 times more. I parted ways with Capital repairs and decided to go with someone else as i noticed that this company was not decent and was deceptive to say the least. My suspicions were affirmed today as almost a year later i received a threatening e-mail demanding payment of 18 or to face legal action. The cheek of these guys total scumbags. To be clear i was willing to pay the extra 18 and the 18 was never the issue, it was the fact that they were being deceitful and not quoting the actual price so not to lose custom. This company is in the practice of hidden charges and overcharging something that i and many others consider to be deceitful and unacceptable. Avoid at all costs

A great experience!! The engineer came out to fix my fridge freezer and said it was not repairable. I spoke to the office a few days later, checked the website and found a replacement. After paying online the new fridge was delivered and the old one taken away!! A very good service - efficient and effective.
Wonderful service and highly recommend! they do not charge a call out fee, so if the appliance cant be repaired, there is no payment required. I sent a text early in the morning and received a rapid response from Salah, I found Capital Repairs to be a very professional service and a good price. The job was done with ease and a high quality. I fully recommend them for all your repair needs and I wont hesitate be call them again in the future.
Thank you Gary for taking the time to write in response to my comments. I appreciate it. Unfortunately, my experience with your company continues to be poor. After a delay of over a month, the engineer came back to fix the PCB and informed me the wrong part had been ordered! I must admit I have never ever experienced such sustained poor service from any professional firm.
