One of my happy places! Bill's pottery is gorgeous! Love to explore all 3 floors. Wide variety of gifts available--pottery from different artists, unique jewelry, kitchen items, children's gifts...leave a couple of hours to see everything. Especially to pick your favorite pieces of Bill's pottery!
I have been shopping at Campbell’s Pottery for a few years now. I love what I have purchased. I just went through my house and counted 19 pieces. I say this because this past fall I returned a couple items that did not match my decor after getting them home. With my second return I heard a comment from a gal behind the counter saying...”third times a charm”....which I thought was really uncalled for. But I let it go. For some reason, because of returning and buying, I had to be issued a gift card instead of a credit. 4 days ago I bought a vase for a friend and upon closer inspection I noticed that it had too many bubbles that I hadn’t noticed in the store. (Most of their items are ‘seconds’ so flaws or imperfections in the way the glazes react are expected.) I felt some apprehension while driving there and then while walking up to the counter with ‘yet another’ return.....I’m not greeted with the friendly ‘hello’ any more. I informed the gal behind the counter that I was going to look for a gift real quick. In a few minutes I returned to the counter with 2 small vases. The air was thick and the the gal behind the counter now had an attitude. I don’t usually speak up but I couldn’t hold back! I informed them that I have never been MADE to feel so guilty for returning some things while I am such a loyal customer. Another gal behind the counter who is usually quite nice said to me “you shouldn’t feel guilty” she meant well but I said “I DON’T, I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG. IT’S THE ATTITUDE TOWARDS ME FOR RETURNING THINGS!” Sorry this is so long. I don’t usually do reviews but in a strange way I feel better now that I got that out LOL. So now I still have a 57 gift card. Shopping there won’t be fun anymore but it WILL get me back in.
