I’ve had a studio here for quite a while. It’s a great and affordable space. The people who run it are conscientious and very supportive of artists.

The Brooklyn Art Studios are amazing!!! It is hard to find a clean, spacious, sun-filled art studio in Brooklyn. It is even harder to find one that is affordable with wonderful amenities and excellent landlords! I have been a tenant for roughly two years and have only wonderful things to say about Brooklyn Art Studios. The spaces are safe, well-ventilated, clean and bright. Denise and Kim are incredibly responsive and amenable. Both the studio space and common area is incredibly clean, well-maintained and completely Covid safe. There is a great kitchen with a fridge to store food and a microwave. There are clean bathrooms, a slop sink and cleaning supplies. It is close to Transmitter park and some excellent Greenpoint restaurants. The art community is vibrant (obviously more so pre Covid) and welcoming. Also pre Covid, this space was the hub of Greenpoint Open Studios, where I made my first connections with collectors, artists and galleries as a young artist out of college. The spaces are so well-priced, especially considering the excellent quality of the facilities. I have never seen any spaces this nice at any price, and I haven’t seen any prices that come close to the ones they offer! They do a lot to keep costs down for artists. They are not the typical impersonal landlords you get in NYC! Would recommend to any artist at any stage in their career. :)
Excellent experience seeing the inside of artists' studios and talking with some of them.
It is a good small exhibition space for independent artists and groups. There are also studios to rent. The staff was pretty nice, but note that it is a minimalist studio building.
