One of the last places in Danmark to experience this kind of dormitory, with lush green center, forest and park. And where residents have a say in the daily life. You got an idea or wish for an event, activity or student club? changes are will be able to make it with support. Tranquility and equal peers with no violence or bullying.

Coming to Denmark I really expected a bit more. This is an old dormitory in need of a refresh. Rooms are fine once you make then your own, but the kitchens are something you can't really help with since you are sharing it with other people. I'm sure there are some rooms with their own kitchen, but I'm also quite sure they are old and shoddy.
Worst accommodation experience so far. Once we moved in, we had to spend two weeks without a beds, because they were not able to provide them on time of out arrival. Got charged a lot after moving out inspection, even tough we cleaned the place day prior to the inspection, but could not attend it in person. Found a place of same size, closer to the city, better quality and cheaper. I would choose this place as a last option.
Nice dormitory.
Do not move here unless you have no other choice. Very dangerous area. High crime. There are cheaper and better places to live.
Bunch of thiefs. Shady place
Living in Skjoldhoj dormitory as a whole is a nice way to start if you're a new student in Aarhus, but bear in mind that the rent is high, the supermarket that's close is expensive and for the nearest one you either have to take the bus or walk more than 3 km. Otherwise nice place to live, but the heating is bad and the dormitory is quite old. Wouldn't necessarily recommend it to newcomers but you can make lots of friends here, there are a lot of amazing people you can meet. The bar is cheap and there is a park nearby
I have not lived here for long and I don't think I will. We were not allowed to look at the apartment before we moved in, and the apartments are expensive, but we took it because we needed a roof over our heads. I did not expect much but I also did not expect this. The moment we stepped in I felt that I wanted to leave. We had to push the door open, as well as the windows, because they had not been opened for at least a year, when the previous tenant moved out. This place has not been renovated for 40 years, that was clear. It was filled with spiderwebs, dust, dirt and spots. So we had to clean it before we could move things in. The landlord claimed it had been cleaned , but it clearly had not. The worst issue is that there is black mold in the kitchen. So there is clearly a health hazard here, which we are surprised that nobody has fixed yet. There is no ventilation so we had to open the very weird balcony doors to get some air in. The air is pretty bad in there. But during our first night, we woke up because someone tried to get in trough the door. So we keep the doors shut from now on. We did not expect much from a student apartment, but for this high price we are paying, we were expecting a bit more than what we got. We wonder where all that money goes. Because it has clearly never been used on renovation of this place. And it is a pity, because the only good thing about it is that the layout is pretty cool, and if it was only renovated, it could be a nice place to live.
