Yolanda is nothing short of incredible. She has been helping women deliver babies for over 40 years. She has helped deliver thousands of newborns and her experience is so evident. As a young girl I watched her help my mother through some complicated circumstances with my siblings and I always remembered her bringing me so much peace as a child. Fast forward over 20 years and I was so blessed to be able to have her help deliver my own baby into this world. She is professional, empathetic, and yet she never avoids telling you what your priorities need to be in order to deliver the healthiest baby possible. She has a wealth of knowledge and resources readily available and makes herself available as well for any and all concerns. Yolanda helped me through a long and arduous labor with many struggles. While I wasn't sure how I was going to do it, she was supportive and direct. Always calm and constant which is exactly what we needed her to be. Thanks to her guidance, I was able to have a healthy and successful natural home birth with minimal recovery time and a beautiful healthy baby. I can't imagine going with anyone else.

We had the pleasure of having not only our FIRST homebirth with Yolanda at Birth Song but our SECOND as well! Both of our experiences with Yolanda and homebirth were beautiful and memorable! We loved everything from the start to the finish and wouldn't have it any other way, if the opportunity presents itself! Yolanda gave us not only great homebirth experiences but she gave us knowledge, confidence and advice from the very beginning. But most importantly, she gave us her love and friendship. With her vast years of expertise we entrusted her fully though it is who she is; an intelligent, self assured, caring and giving person, is why we chose her as our midwife. Our first 2 children were born in hospital and we wish that all 4 were born at home. So we encourage even first time moms to educate themselves on homebirth and set up an interview with Yolanda. Incredible experience with Yolanda Birth Song from prenatal through postpartum care. She is kind, knowledgeable and empowering -- loved borrowing books from her lending library and preparing for birth together. She was very patient in answering questions, providing resources and including my husband in the process. We loved our experience so much we are working with her again for baby #2 :)
We could not have asked for a more positive prenatal, birth, and postpartum care experience. Yolanda has practiced for so long, we were confident she could handle anything our birth presented. She filled us with confidence, not only in regards birthing at home, but in the entire pregnancy and birthing process. After two discouraging prenatal experiences with my older children, I am so thankful for the relaxed, confident, encouraging, and empowering experience we had the entire pregnancy. Not to mention a beautiful birth and a healthy baby! We would choose Yolanda 100 times over.
