Sebastian Carewe

A real institution of Berlin. You can spend weeks browsing here. It's a very modern, gigantic book and music store, but still manages to have a rather homely atmosphere. Friendly, passionate staff across four humongous floors. Also open until midnight, which is a really fun time to look around.

The International Bookshop has a really good selection, I am very happy with how well the available titles have been curated for the English books. The staff is rude and unfriendly and don't expect any basic services (like gift wrapping a Christmas gift). Better to just browse for titles here and buy your books online after. Then you will get them cheaper and also gift-wrapped. Or if you want to support bookshops, go to a smaller neighborhood bookstore, there are a lot in Berlin offering English books.

Like a child in a candy store! I could spend days in this store and not notice the passing of time. Very good English book section as well. Decent collection of books on Berlin.

Its so amazing for anyone who loves books. Also a lot of merchandise for popular shows Friends, Harry potter, Marvel etc.. Overall a nice experience to spend time just gazing over novels and an amazing collection of diaries and journals. Just outside friedrichstraße station.
