Unexpectedly serious day hike. Not for the unprepared. Slow ascend and amazing view of the mountain ranges. Young pine trees are still growing. The wind was howling that the peak which is really amazing. It will take you atleast 3-4 hours reaching the peak in a good pace and 2-3 hours descend. We went on a weekday that we totally own the place. Only 10 people are allowed at the peak so you might want to be with a small group if you dont like queues. Overall highly recommended day hike.

It's a wonderful destination for hiking enthusiasts. I've climbed this several times already. It's a major climb yet a good challenge for beginners. I really love the views at the peak. Just be careful as the peak is quite steep and you have to climb at the side. Extra caution should be observed especially when it's windy. Going down though is quite a "toe killer" as it is slippery because of the gravel surface. It is so named because in the Ibaloi language "piging" means slanted which aptly describes the peak.

Very scenic and ideal to climb early morning or during Dec to February when the temperature is really cold.
