John and Deidre are a dream team. Both lovely people with excellent communication skills. John is really patient and provides expert tuition on his boat, Lily. He is very knowledgeable with so much experience and eager to share. We enjoyed 2 days of sailing, one of us at level 1 and one at level 2, which he makes work really well. We both are looking forward to taking further tuition in the future as we came away with so much more than we had hoped. Thanks John and Deidre.

If you would like to learn to sail, I would highly recommend Bay Sea School. Both Deidre and John are very knowledgeable, patient and really pleasant people to be around. I am a total beginner and feel, after just 2 days of instruction on the Level 1 keel boat course, my confidence has grown, as has my interest to learn more.

Huge thanks John for an excellent four days 'own boat tuition'. We were a mixed ability crew, beginner, day skipper and two very experienced but perhaps a 'little sloppy' sailors. John's educational skills were perfect for the group from simple OXO's to advanced radar. What a brilliant experience! I had grown up close to Morecambe Bay but never been able to sail on it before. Wonderful views - of the Lake District hills and of Morecambe itself. An absolute pleasure to complete my Seamanship Skills course with John and Deirdre at Bay Sailing School in Morecombe. John is a true Gentleman and his sailing tuition is first class with a relaxed yet professional style of coaching. John gave me the confidence to build on my existing skills (dinghy sailing L1&2), to full hands on the beautiful \Lily\, their 22ft Jeanneau Sun 2000 keelboat/yacht. I have my first Flotilla holiday planned around the Greek Ionian Islands and completing the Seamanship course has provided me with solid theory and practical expertise in course management, sail trimming, boat balance, reefing (vmt), anchoring and using transits to help decision making when manouvering under power / sail, especially in the fast flowing tidal waters at Morecombe! Bay School are the real deal if you are serious about progressing your sailing experience and competence. Richly rewarding and worth every penny; thank you John and Deirdre. See you again very soon.
