The worst, incompetent customer service with no consistency! Every time you call you get a different answer and response. They sent several conflicting letters concerning my mother, who is a retired teacher’s health policy! They changed her policy but did not send a bill, then sent a letter saying the policy would be cancelled unless the premium for 2 months was overnighted. The premium was overnighted and the policy was still cancelled! When I contacted SHBP to file a formal complaint, no one knew who I needed to file a complaint with.

TERRIBLE customer service. They gave me conflicting information regarding my policy. I called three different times about an issue and each time I got different information. When I explained this to an associate the last time I called, she was incredibly rude and kept talking over me. Finally, she said that my only way to resolve my issue was to speak with a supervisor, so I asked for one. She immediately responded with \They're in a meeting until 5.(when they close)\. So I asked if I could get a call back and she said they \don't do that.\ They really don't care that their mistakes cost people lots of money and frustration.

Have been waiting since January 2020 to receive a reimbursement check for an insurance payment that was incorrectly deducted from my TRS check. Promises, mailings and return calls that never happened. I called in November 2019 to tell them I was canceling my health insurance in January 2020. I was told to wait until 1-15-2020 to call in. Told them I was already covered and had the paperwork to verify. They didn’t care and said I had to wait. If they had stopped it when I requested, I would now have 160 to pay my electric bill. The State of Georgia sub-contracts their customer service contact center, so where do I physically go get the money taken from me??? I retired from teaching and moved to NC or I would drive to Atlanta to get my check, call my State Representative or call my contacts from State Gov’t from the time of when I worked at the Capitol. My 6-8 week(actually 6-8 months) waiting period will be over on June 11th and I’m not holding my breath for that promise either. FRUSTRATING AND UNNECESSARY!!!!!

This place is the absolute worse. They entered my sons birthday wrong. Two weeks later after calling and “getting it all fixed” it’s still screwed up. Incompetent workers! Ugh

I have never in my life had such a terrible experience with a company! I had an issue declaring a life event that lasted for 5 months to try to fix. I spoke with different people every single time I called who would write notes and tell me to call back in a week. Because they couldn’t figure out how to fix the issue they said I was outside a 30 day window and wouldn’t do anything about it! They screwed us out of hundreds of dollars and there is nothing I can do about it. Shame on them!
