Great place lots of trails for all to enjoy. You will see trail bikes (motor bikes), cycle cross, mountain bikes, hikers, dog walkers, and maybe a horse. The trails are mostly a loose sand with rocks in some spots. This is an awesome spot for motor bikes to ride legally. The trails are marked with fire road outlets if you get into trouble. You might find other trail users on the designated motor bike trails but everyone I have met has been friendly so far. I have been told some people are not aware this is a prime destination for trail riders and are surprised to see bikes in the woods. Late season hunters are also in the woods you might want to wear some blaze orange and bells so they know your around if your not on a trail bike. It is an wonderful place to enjoy the woods just keep and eye out Pukwudgies

Better than a lot of places in Massachusetts. With No Known Corona Virus there at Present. You can walk to you drop on the roads previously built by the Pine Cone Johnnies? Or sit near a lit fire pit to stay warm?

A childhood staple, the forest is expansive and sprawling. From vehicle paths to walking paths, the state forest is convenient during daylight. With the wading pool in the summer its a great escape from the house for a busy parent.
