My family and I very much enjoy this range. Nice distance markers on posts, and range from 10 yards to 70 yards. Targets get a little beat up, but that’s to be expected at any range. Good parking and picnic tables near some of the targets to store your equipment bags and the like. Its a free range that is in good shape. Wear boots if it’s at all damp.

As the park withers...so does the range. A burden on the county and state. As the clubs and association find ways to supplement and save their own ranges, the public ranges suffer and rot. A prime example of consumerism, selfishness and the abuse of Maryland land and history. As the park falls, so to the areas and homes around it. Slow and silent is the earth, fast and needy are the minds of men. We have no love for that which sustains us...and we shall watch it die...
Nice and quiet archery range located in Gunpowder Falls State Park. There are multiple targets available at various distances. Covered picnic tables are available nearby and plenty of nearby parking. I recommend bringing your own targets. The best part is the range is FREE and open nearly everyday.
I love this place. They open at sunrise and close at sunset. Same hours as the park.
You really can't beat free. The max range you can shoot is 50 yrs. Also, there aren't any range markers, so bring range finder if you have one. Also, the targets have their centers shot out, but the targets are large, so you can shoot the corners.
