This is the series of ionic columns which originally formed a room as well. These 2 buildings together is supposed to be where Asklepious cured people of their ailments! So, this was like a hospital. The Abaton was built in 2 stages, because as the popularity of the temple grew, there were too many visitors to be accommodated here. The structure was made 2 storeyed. Today it is possible to do down the stairs and visit the lower storey.

The Sanctuary of Asklepios at Epidaurus UNESCO World Heritage Site !!!!! This wonderful site has a very special vibe to it, which is absolutely indicative of all the ancient testaments of miraculous healing that took place here. The ancient theater is the shining crown jewel, yet there is plenty of other beautiful wonders generously spread around this outstanding archaeological site to marvel at... Enjoy my friends :)

A nice place to visit. So close to the ancient historical site. Try not to visit there on midday or otherwise you will be burnt under the sun.

The holy sanctuary and temple of Asclépios, god of health and well-being, is quite an exceptional place that's worth visiting if you're in the region.

Fantastic, very large site. Plan on spending at least a couple hours. In addition to the archeological site, there's bathrooms, a couple places to get snacks, a museum and a gift shop.

One star is the least i can rate this place but it's still too much, if you go there be ready to be paying double the official price and being chased of the property half an hour early. If you ask why they are pulling such cheap tricks (overwriting their workhours and prices) they insult your nationality and tell you you are wrong, although the internet and their official price list say different things. ( Also I was supposed to get in for free because I am a EU student but I didn't bring my card so they charged me the \standart\ price, but that was my fault although I had a picture of my student id) I would rate the services of this place a disgrace to the greec people, the remains itself wer ok but not in top condition.
