I researched what I thought were the top 4 dock builders on Lake Murray. I must have gone to look at over 40 docks on the lake. I chose Advanced for my dock, and I was not let down. It is beautiful and there are so many small things that they do that put them ahead of the competition. You may have to wait a while, but the result is well worth the wait. Buck and his team will leave you with a dock you will want to show off!

Buck, the owner, installed a double PWC lift for 5076.00 in October 2010. My husband had built our stationary dock and disagreed with Buck about attaching 20ft post completely to dock without another support 20 ft pole. In 2014 the pole shifted to the left due to the weight of the boats-see photo. Buck declined to fix the problem due to his disagreement with my husband. I got Bot Flot to install another 20 ft pole to the right of stationary dock to support the lift and pull it straight at a cost of 900. In late fall of 2016 the lift made a turn to the right. I contacted Buck again and no action. 3 other dock builders have refused to work with lift and are saying original construction is incorrect. One will totally redo using 3 20ft poles. at cost of 5000 with 1500 just to remove the lift On September 7, employees of Advance dock brought their barge into our very protected cove and I was told they were going to repair the lift and also this was a good place for the barge to weather Irma Their truck was parked for most of a day on my lawn but on September 12 the barge was removed and a truck was again on my lawn. The man retrieving the truck told me to have a nice day. I am still look at 5000 for a working lift 1500 to remove it

My 15 year old nephew and I where fishing at ramp 3 and had been there for about 2 hours in our spot we like to fish. Then a 'really' nice fella decided to park his barge on top of our lines. Did not even seem like he was concerned about it at all. I had to ask the ice\ fella to at least wait for me to roll in my lines, again he did not care about our wishes at all. We told him several times we had lines out. He says \where am I supposed to park this thing\, as if it was our problem. Maybe he should rent a slip like a professional business and keep in mind just because you work on the lake you do not own it, or the public ramps. Respect, goes a long way......
