Staff was helpful but spoke limited English and the menu was all in Japanese but honestly I don’t think they can be faulted for this. The menu is a smart tablet and all of the items were pictured in the menu so ordering was easy. This place is all you can eat. And the service was very fast. As soon as you ordered on the tablet the items were at your table. The service staff tried really hard to be hospitable and it showed. Meat was great, the scallops and squid sautéed in butter took first prize. Well worth a visit especially if you are staying in ryokan shizuku.

All you can eat/drink for 90 minutes, fun experience where you cook your own food which is ordered to the table through a tablet. You book your table at the entrance and get a number, there isn’t any English instructions but luckily people were helpful :)
