Here we are again in lockdown, I decided to give the Abbey Tearooms take away Sunday lunch a try after a recommendation by a friend. I gave the tearooms a call, a friendly lady explained the menu choices to me and how the collection worked. When Sunday arrived I picked up our Sunday lunch in our allocated time slot. I unpacked our Sunday lunch at home, to my delight everything plated up ready to go! A delicious traditional Sunday lunch with all the trimmings and extra gravy if needed. All homemade desserts with a choice of custard or cream. Such a treat!

Trully, one of the best afternoon teas! Service 5 stars out of five. Clean, cute, cosy environment. Top location in front of the Abbey. Fresh, mouth watering sandwiches and scones! Couldn’t be better! Thank you!

Cozy spot with lovely service and great food!! Before lockdown, we always visit for lunch or tea and cakes (or both!). Then in May had a takeaway Sunday lunch!! Beautifully presented and served up on china plates etc all in a tray to carry. We sat in the car with roof down on the way to Launcherley, facing the Tor and tucked into one of the best Sunday roasts ever!!

Visited here today for a lunch with friends. Service was good and the food was nice too. The place had an old feel to it, decor which I feel would go nicely at my grandparents place but that's not a bad thing. Had a nice homely feel. Only downside is that when we sat down there were no menus in sight and it took a few failed attempts to get the waiter's attention for them. But once we had those everything was fine from there. **Covid Rules** - it would seem that pre-booking is essential here. We had booked so it was fine for us, but a few punters who came to the door without a booking were turned away for that reason. All in all I would definitely eat here again for lunch as the food was nice. Reasonable prices too.
