The Nuraghe Losa Located in Sardinia, one of the 20 regions of Italy. The nuraghe consists of a central tower in a triangular shape ,estimated at 19 metres height with three floors, and three additional towers consist of two floors. The central tower was built in the 14th century BC while the surrounding walls and towers were built in the 13th century BC. The complex, entirely built out of large blocks of basalt. Inside there are also three wells, used as storage for food or other materials. The nuraghe losa means' nuraghe of the tombs'. Nuraghe is the main type of ancient megalithic monuments found in Sardinia, developed during the Nuragic Age between 1900 and 730 B.C. Today it has come to be the symbol of Sardinia and its distinctive culture, the Nuragic civilization. More than 7,000 nuraghes have been found till now.

Well preserved archeological site. It is a massive structure built from rocks and with some impressive engineering. It is also overlayed with a lot of different features from the changing cultures of the residents across time. A guide makes a big difference, read carefully the brochure (available in multiple languages) to understand what you are looking at and improve the experience.

Highly recommended. The ticket is 5, but it is worth it. When I went there were not many people, so we could enjoy the place walking around, the silence of the rooms and take beautiful pictures. You can imagine how the old town was, apart from seeing the material and the illustrations in a small museum in the entrance.

Very nice archeological site of the nuragic civilization. The tower is in a very good condition. Very impressive and immersive place!!!! Highly recommended to visit! A small playground / digging site for kids is included in the area. There's a nice small bar where you get good panini and a good caprese salad.

The site is very interesting, especially for the people who have never seen such buildings (like us). Built by an ancient culture 3000 years ago, with heavy stones and no \glue\ between them – it is surprising that such buildings are still preserved in quite a good shape to amaze modern people. The fact that there is a lot of theories and ideas around this culture and these buildings and no common agreement between scientists makes these monuments mysterious!
