Wow such a historic place
Place was full of highly energized people! This building will keep you on your toes. One of the tour guides kept saying his scanner was at 3.6 rontgen. Not great. Not terrible. I was told it was like getting a chest x-ray.

Saw a documentary about abandoned places and decided to go urban explore...the city is vast and the weather is amazing in mid August. The air is crisp blowing in from the nearby river and it smells of history (or death and decay) and the sunshine has a radiating warmness to it especially as we entered the nearby amusement park. Though we didnt venture too close to reactor 4, it was easily seen from across the river and now i have telescopic infused eyes! What a wonder, what a sight!? The downside to this visit is the locals are extremely poor, and leprosy must be rampant (they were missing chunks of skin) We meeded a healthy tour guide or helper and couldnt find a suitable person to take us around. Nobody would go into town no matter how much we paid them. Except leppers...i hope that wasnt contagious, we developed a skin rash since arriving to Pripyat :/ but overall have fun and go durimg late summer! BTW dont tell the car rental company where you plan to travel because they charge extra for taking a vehicle to the city.
Amazing! We got to take an amazingly close view of reactor 4. The sight was so absolutely breathtaking that it actually gave me lung cancer! Also the added impaired eyesight and creepy beautiful scenery was an added bonus too! Even though I may have lost my eyesight, after coming back I fortunately was able to grow another pair of eyes, as for my lung condition I now have lost a lung... But that's okay! Can't wait to come back next year!
