This place was amazing with the most flavorsome food, welcoming friendly staff and great prices versus quality you get plus entertainment. We are already planning our day trip to Évora just to visit Vasco! Bare in mind it is a small place and getting table is not easy and you have to book. I saw some people got upset about it. Trust me it’s so worth and it’s a little hidden treasure.

The food is fantastic. Highly recommended. The service is so friendly and welcoming you feel like you are visiting long lost friends. Limited seating so arrive early as not to be dissapointed.

One of the best restaurants ever, the food is authentic, and very full of flavors. Vasco, the owner, makes the customers feel they are guests, and friends from a long date, shares the stories behind every recipe and ingredient, creates a human connection and makes the whole experience a unique joyful one! We discovered it by chance the first night in Evora, were pleasantly surprised so we came back the day after, and we are sure to come back when we visit Evora again. Vasco, thank you for making our short stay in Evora so memorable and tasty!

I wish I could taste this 6/5. Favorite meal in Portugal. The black pork cheek marinated in red wine sauce is divine, a family recipe of the owner. The fried quail is better than any bird I've had before. And in to of all that, the service was wonderful, the owner waited on us, so friendly. Even have us an after dinner digestif that his uncle produces. Just, wow.

NOTE: We never did any reservation so we don't know who he's talking about. Having a very small room filled with tables so close to each other while people aren't wearing a safety mask is a recipe for disaster. We entered the room and left immediately after seeing what I described.

We had a wonderful lunch here. Great petiscos and a terrific gazpacho. The local craft beer is also very good. The real star of the show is Vasco, though. We were treated to stories about his wife, his mother-in-law, his music, his artwork. I have never felt so entertained over lunch (no disrespect to my dining companion). You simply have to go here!

What an amazing place! Only 8 tables. Mr. Vasco greets us like he's at home! The pork with mushroom cream and the \old fashioned\ black pork cheek as he says is inexplicable! From eating praying.
