Such a wonderful place. Food is really great, good price quality ratio. Pastries, cakes and cookies are delicious too. Out door seating is possible and it is cozy. They have a small parking lot just beside. Perfect for lunch or coffee after a walk around the lake. They offer take away.

I had a breakfast bowl that really tasted great and was affordable together with a ham and cheese sandwich. The setting and surroundings are great with the lake that you can swim in during the summer is ice skate during the winter. I highly recommend trying herrängens gård when you can and try out the different kind of meals and pastry’s they offer. I haven’t tried the lunch but I hear it’s great.

Waited very long for a “tapas bricka” (cold cuts and cheese) then the hard bread was missing. We brought up this politely and did not get any hard bread or excuse. The items on the “tapas bricka” was not worth the price unfortunately. The location is lovely though.

I had high hopes with the new owners... very disappointed! I was happy to get some better quality food in the suburbs... Prices are very high. High prices would be ok if the quality would be in balance with it. When there is an event (market or Midsummer or etc) ques are far too slow! Dishes, that they came up with, have been changed for worse under their own short management (avocado royal became sundried tomato paste avocado whatever. You can’t be this greedy to destroy the sandwich?!?) On top of this one of the blonde owners is really full of herself, what an attitude. She should get off the high horse and work on matching the prices with the menu. I like the surroundings and the location, so that’s why Herrangens Gard got one star. Otherwise it would be no stars at all.

TL;DR - they hardly cook the food they serve, and charge very high prices for everything. Since they changed owners the place has really gone down hill. They bumped up the prices like an innertown/downtown cafe, even though it's in a suburban area quite far from the subway system. They supposedly got a new chef, but I wonder how little you have to cook to still be able to call yourself a chef. 125 kr for a cold sandwich with raw sausages (straight from a package) and a fried egg. It's the same with most other dishes there - truly a ripoff. Bring your own coffee and snacks and go to the pier behind the coffee shop. You get the nice environment for a fraction of the cost.

Lovely place for midsummer, but be aware that most vendors only take swish which requires a swedish social security number

Typical Swedish Christmas buffet. Cosy and nice atmosphere. Friendly staff and good service. The food is also good, I definitely recommend it.
