Im seeing so many negative reviews that cant possibly relate to this store, i sent an email, got a reply a couple weeks later ( bear in mind the covid situation ) which is acceptable , took my bike in, the service was carried out, all repairs explained and fairly priced, got advice from the mechanic / sales guy, social distance and hygiene rules adhered to, a top service and greeted with respect, no complaints here, in fact, compliments for a well done job.thanks guys!

In a city known for its bad bike services where everyone tries to charge you sh**load of money without doing anything, this one should earn a first place. Rude stuff? You bet. A mechanic who will ignore you for hours? Check. Work not properly done? Sure. Will they substitute some parts without even asking you and then charge you for that? Yup. My advise: stay away!
Their selling skills are really questionable... I came to this place twice, looking for a bike. I've basically been presented one bike, and then the guys just stayed there, staring at me looking at the bike. Any attempt to engage in a conversation, to ask about pro-cons of this or that, if they have others to propose... anything... basically no words. So, how am I supposed to evaluate the purchase of a bike frmo zero help and zero alternative presented?
This was several years ago at this point, but I have had a few bad experiences with bike shops recently, and I have decided to do write about them, because there a way too many bad ones out there, and maybe this will help other people avoid giving money to a place that doesn't deserve it, and to save it for a place that does. Several years ago I needed a shift cable and went to \The Bike Store\. After waiting about 15 minutes to be helped, because the sales person was busy trying to sell someone a bike, I poked my head into the workshop and tried politely asking the mechanic in the if he could sell me a cable. He angrily yelled at me to go back to the front. A completely inappropriate way to talk to anyone asking a simple question, let alone a potential customer. I was shocked.
After visiting two places that were unable to find a problem or refused to deal with BionX, I decided to go to an official distributor, and my chose fell on The Bike Store. I was a bit concerned with the negative reviews, but in the end I was treated very professionally and friendly. The price was fair and the problem was solved. What I also liked is that they communicate by email.
Waited 45 minutes for someone to assist me but no one bothered to come yet when an attractive mother came to buy a child's bike, all two employees came running and almost fell over the bikes just to get her attention. I left without anyone asking me what I needed.
no tools or cooperation for fixing a flat tire
