A beautiful Japanese cuisine and sushi dining experience! The atmosphere is simple and inviting with lovely waiting staff and cooks :) It's a little on the pricier end but it's worth the money. Our favourite sushi spot in Zurich!

We were a large group and went to the restaurant Ginger for dinner. The friendly service and the food was absolutely outstanding. Sure, the food at the Ginger has a slightly higher price but the products and creations are absolutely amazing. The creations of the A La Cart menu were all surprising in their own way and a true feast for the senses. The open kitchen area also allows you to watch the kitchen chefs at work. It was fascinating to see the care and precision with which the products are prepared and arranged. We will come back again! Absolutely recommendable and nothing to complain about.
Almost certainly one of the best sushi restaurants in Zurich. Very cramped and with a limited number of seats. i.e. reservation is essential. Price is rather high, but can be justified by the excellent quality.
We were 5 friends having diner together and it was absolutely fantastic. The service was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable and the food was outstanding. I can really recommend the kingfish and the homemade tofu but all the dishes we tried were super yummy. You could really taste the freshness of the produce and the combinations were very well thought through. Will definitely be back many more times!!

I tried Ginger with my friend as it has high Google reviews and expected a nice experience. However, we found out an extremely expensive restaurant with ridiculous mini sized portions (by any cultural standards!). Not only that, the waiters were very aggressive, insulting our food choices and were extremely inattentive to our questions or requests. Beside the nice venue of the restaurant, and seemingly dense with youngsters, the food, price, and service is absolutely at the lowest level of any restaurant in the world. Extremely pretentious! Please avoid at any cost, and ignore the inflation of *probably* fake positive reviews here.
They have a fairly new chef and the food inside the restaurant (not the bar) is EXCELLENT. We had missed a good Japanese like this in Zurich... I encourage you to try dishes such as the hamachi ceviche and the “something like a sushi roll”. Simply outstanding! The service is super professional and friendly too :-)
I love this place; wonderful atmosphere and food. Sushi bar is a amazing. You will definitely need to make a reservation as it's a relatively small place combined with high demand.
