Excellent food, creative combinations making the experience unique

Great experience. Would definitely recommend combining a dinner at the restaurant with a stay in one of the very comfortable rooms in the hotel. Food is of the highest level, combined with beautiful wines. Service is excellent, even during the COVID-19 crisis while they all are wearing face masks. The curry with monkfish was one of the highlights. A well deserved 3 star Michelin rating. Only issue I experienced during my stay was a table of 5 from Germany that escaped the strict rules of Germany. There is an uptick of German tourists in the Netherlands as we do not have a lot of strict rules around COVID-19. This group was continuously coughing and showing all kinds of COVID-19 symptoms, I was a little bit worried throughout the evening. Luckily there was enough distance between the tables, I think I did not get infected.

I’ve done a lot of 3* but this one has a special note. Pretty laid back service compared to the French ones. Exceptional food, local and creative. Nothing like you ever seen before! A must to try absolutely. Building is very special also since it’s in a old jail!

An absolutely magical experience from start to finish. The service was so above and beyond. The staff really seemed to care about the guests. The food was some of the best food we've ever had, and we've eaten at michelin star restaurants around the world. The portion sizes were perfect, the flavors danced together in your mouth, and the wine pairings elevated every aspect of the meal. Our room (the Vanille suite) was unbelievable and perfect for a weekend of relaxation. I highly recommend trying the breakfast one day and ordering some bites and tea to your room. You have to experience every aspect of this place because none of it falls short. We hope to be back soon!

Delicious food, great service and surprise tour of kitchen. A bit disappointed we could not meet the chef, also the duck - excellent but what happens to the 95% of the duck that’s not served? Seems like a carbon heavy waste of energy. Anyway we flew all the way from Taiwan to meet the chef, they should have told us both would not be at the restaurant in advance. So only 3 stars as a 3 star Michelin should advise guests in advance the star chefs will not be present. We got a stupid card instead.

Had the pleasure to dine here during Christmas. The tasting menu was delicious and all the ladies were given a bag stuffed with gifts (spices, prosecco). Very friendly staff and one of the highlights of the experience was the invite to the kitchen where they prepared one of the courses (broodje paling)!

Great experience. I really liked the atmosphere and the fact that you're welcomed in a lounge area to have your aperitif. Dining takes place in the restaurant itself, which is nicely decorated. The staff are friendly. The food is amazing, but that's what you expect from a 3 michelin star restaurant.

the food was lovely of course nothing bad to say about that (just not enough to be satisfied so we ordered bread twice) but I would like to touch on a couple things that annoyed me, when we arrived there was this awful heavy scent at the entrance and the people working in the restaurant were not so talkative when we asked questions and were very hectic at the beginning of the evening which I can understand because it was very busy and towards the end they did relax a bit more but it didn't feel nice in the beginning and since the owner always talks about how important atmosphere is while dining I wanted to touch on that a little bit but apart from those things we definitely had a lovely evening.
