I went yesterday and it was lots of fun. It was sprinkling yesterday so me and my boyfriend were the only customers in the zoo. We loved being there without anyone else it was a lot more peaceful. Some exhibits weren’t open because of Covid. However it was still lots of fun. Animals are well kept, the pandas are so funny, and the monkeys are super entertaining to watch.

I love zoos. I would suggest to visit when the weather is warmer. I visited on a very cold day, since I had to purchase my ticket on line I was unaware that several animals were not on display until I presented my virtual ticket. What exhibits I did see were very nice. I would have felt the money I spent well worth it if I had seen what the entire zoo had to offer. I will go again, but in the spring or summer.

Went to the zoo today. It took my boyfriend and I about 4 hours to get through everything. Mind you we had all day so we took our time. Most of the animals were out and were pretty active. Zoo staff was cleaning a lot and very kind and active. My only complaint is the people. The disgusting nasty zoo visitors who don’t seem to realize were in a pandemic. They also can’t social distance, wear a mask properly if not at all and seem to have forgotten how lines work. The zoo has lines marked on the path six feet apart and even boxes marked for you to go look at the animals. I have never been cut in front of so many times it basically pushed aside. Even before the pandemic! While my bf and I were in line to look at the lions a woman and child cut in front of us... then calls for her husband to join them! I said there’s a line and the husband yelled there’s plenty of room. I explained were in a pandemic and there are marked lines and marked viewing areas for a reason... he had enough audacity to tell me I was rude by following the zoos guidelines and after his family cut in front of us! I honestly still cannot believe the nerve those people had to call me rude as y’all cut in front of me! I wish their was more zoo staff enforcing the rules they put in place to keep us all safe. Some of us care about our safety and the safety of those around us.

Go for the Pandas! This is one of only four U.S. zoo's with Giant Pandas and they have 4! This place is pretty small for such a major city. That being said, it's cute but not super maintained (don't hurt me)... It feels like they don't have proper funding? I enjoyed my time but I was a bit disappointed. Maybe I had my expectations set to high? Loved the Pandas and the zoo keepers were sweet and knowledgeable. This zoo just left me with more to desire. Sorry! Pro-Tip! Free street parking across the road. Easy walk especially considering you'll be doing a ton of walking anyways. Save a few bucks and spend it on a snack or souvenir.

The Zoo is always a peaceful animal experience. The zoo has added a new paid parking feature...12 for a day or 3 per hour. Give yourself extra time to pay for parking. Order your tickets and reserve your arrival time online before going. You can bring a lunch and snacks! Mid week early morning is the best time to arrive that i have found.
