Good experience at Smaak & Vermaak. Inventive food and low key, pleasant service. It isn’t the most highbrow ever, but it is good, and you don’t pay most highbrow prices, either. Definitely a recommendation.

Absolutely exceptional. After getting a bit lost and running late for our reservation, my wife and I were warmly greeted and immediately sat at a wonderful table. Right from the start, we enjoyed freshly made crackers, hummus, and butter. Our sever was the incredibly sweet and attentive, explaining each detail of course and wine pairing. He even gave us a handwritten list of suggestions on where to go in Amsterdam, as well as a bottle of wine as an early birthday gift for my wife! Every course was impeccable and delicately crafted. A truly unique and delicious experience. My only regret - not taking more pictures!

Incredible food, incredible staff. Worth the visit!
For private dining with groups I highly recommend this place. Two enthusiastic cooks will both entertain and serve a very well balanced and tasty dinner. No disturbances from other groups and 'no' time pressure.
