I have been eating in Zinc since it first opened & have had lovely meals & great friendly service. Tonight though was a different experience when it came to paying the bill. I was told the price, I asked for a receipt which I was then given, I paid the bill by Contactless & the waitress said thank you & goodbye with her back to myself & my husband. Sadly we could sense the bad vibes that she gave off & we left somewhat deflated & wishing we hadn't left a tip. The name on our receipt was Naomi (whether this was the waitress whom we paid I don't know). All said & done we will come back but staff should be trained that the customer is entitled to receive & check the bill before paying.
Firstly the service was brilliant, we got well looked after and they kept the drinks coming. Secondly the food was delicious honestly, we had nachos and garlic bread for starters and they were amazing setting a good standard for the main course which did not disappoint. Would eat there every night if I could afford it
