My girlfriend is a vegetarian and I'm slowly transitioning myself both with the goal of becoming vegan. I've always struggled with takeaways due to a lack of choice in our local area and admittedly a lack of will power. This place is a real game changer though, we both got pizzas and were genuinely blown away, not just impressive for vegan food but any pizza place and easily nicer than my favourite local place. We only wished we lived closer!!!
The idea is good and the food sometimes is good too. When it's not cold or late. Today we ordered our food at 18:00 to be told it would arrive at 20:20, no problem. I know it's busy and popular and we always order early. We rang the restaurant at 20:40 to be told the food was on its way and it would take ten minutes. The food arrived at 21:40. You didn't answer when we tried to ring a second time. The food is not hot again. This is just bad service. The portion of fries costs 3 pounds and it's tiny. What a shame.
My partner and I had wanted to go to Zad's for a long time, seeing it advertised on Just eat. To actually taste the food we had to go on site has they did not deliver to our address. Glad we did as the food itself is really tasty, the cheese itself tasting great and blending well with the mixture of flavours. The crust itself is not a thin crust but tasty nevertheless. The garlic bread with cheese is also very tasty. My only negative would be the cupcakes, that unfortunately were nothing special. Overall though a great experience.
