Wonderful town center with a great library in it. I've been taking Japanese classes there, they're facilitated by the community. It's open fairly late, students will often study throughout the center. and there is a great hall that I've seen several performances in period it is a great centerpiece for the city period would suggest stopping by if you are in the town, there is a wonderful park right near by it.

Modern facility
建築家の新居千秋設計による独特な外観の文化複合施設です。2012年の建築家協会賞など様々な建築賞も受賞している様です。 秋田の田舎町の中心地にあり、独特の存在感を放っています。 館内には図書館、文化会館やプラネタリウム、物産館など入っており、特に人が集まる場所が少ない田舎町にとって、学生からお年寄りまで集まれる憩いの場所となっています。
トイレが少し狭いところもありますが、設置箇所が多く、出先途中でも利用しやすいです！車椅子専用もあったはずです！ 図書館は広々としていて、ゆっくり閲覧できます。講演観覧の座席も広いですが、足を、狭い空間で、観覧中曲げ続けていると、痛みが出たときもありました(o;) 研修で利用する部屋も事前連絡貼必要ですが、広くて利用しやすいです！
図書館や行政施設、文化ホール等が一緒になった施設です。
