Oshibi serves really lovely food that seems very authentic (although I can't say I have been to Korea!). The team that run it are always lovely and chatty and the ability to barbecue on the table adds some fun to your visit. Personally the chef prepared chicken dish (pictured) is my favourite! The restaurant could be easily missed being down a side street off Fossgate, so just head towards the guitar shop when you see the Tapas restaurant and it's on your left!

We ordered as a group the on table barbecue set and a few of the other plates to share so we could try a bit of everything! Great fun playing with cooking the food and lots of new interesting flavours. It's great to have the access to Korean food in York especially when it's this authentic and overall tasty. Friendly staff, can't recommend enough!

Oshibi is a fantastic restaurant! Every time I go it never fails to serve up some utterly sublime food , the staff and owners are so friendly too! The short journey I make from Leeds to York just to eat delicious food is worth it here!

Made the reservation. The table were all occupied when we arrived. Everything was safely distanced here in covid 19 times. The waiter was very nice and friendly. They help you choose the dishes if you want. The owner was very friendly as well. We had some BBQ and a lot of other dishes which were all delicious. Didn’t quite enjoy the deserts but I could see the delicacy and efforts put in for those deserts. Priced on the higher side but then what in York is not.

The most friendly Korean restaurant I have been to. They wish to help you feel welcome, enjoy your food and understand a new experience without being over bearing. The food was lovely and they have a great choice. Lovely atmosphere. Just noisy from the grilling but this is to be expected from a Korean restaurant. Would recommend and will be going again the next time I'm in York.
