This school is an excellent educational institution, their quality of teaching and pastoral care is second to none. Students are worked hard but compassionately so with the intent to get the best out of them, in the words of a child who goes there “You learn a lot more in a lesson than at Huntington” which says it all. The schools use of technology is also excellent and really enhances the quality and breadth of teaching. I cannot recommend enough.

The teachers are great apart from the few, I got bullied horrible for the whole time I was there, my mum and foster parents went in constantly to try and sort things out. They said they would try and sort it out and didn’t and as a result, I now have really bad depression and anxiety. However the teaching is great and I got good grades so I have to give them that.

i would dread waking up and having to go to this school and i thought it was just me but after a year genuinely enjoying going to college i realised it was really how backwards this school is and continues to be in its rules and priorities. however they also have some amazing teachers that somewhat make up for this: mrs watson, mr&mrs walton, mr rab and mrs brown are the best things about this school and that my friend is the tea. so was miss metcalf but they lost her to another school and honestly good for her

This school doesn't even deserve one star. I cannot put into words how bad this school is. I was extremely bullied at this school which i then had to leave and be home tutored. The only time i got support from bullying is when people began to write my name with so much abuse along side of it on the walls of all school toilets. If you want the best for your children i suggest crossing this school of the list first. You could have a mental illness such as depression and/or anxiety and they'd still pull you apart for your uniform, lateness, makeup or anything they can find. So glad to have got a better education for the last year heading up to my GCSES.

I've been out of this school for about a year now, and I've gotta say for all the bad things the school does, I also had some fantastic times. I've come to realise that it's not the teachers or the people, but the rules, their way of handling things and the systems in place. The good: teachers I had were fantastic. Mr Lowe, Mr Godfrey, Mrs Walton and Mrs Lowman stand out but all my teachers were absolutely fantastic human beings and constantly gave me positive reinforcement when I didn't believe in myself, for which I'm so thankful. The people I went to school with were great too, even if I didn't see eye to eye with everyone. Also, I really feel like I was shaped into me at that school. The bad: after going to a college for a year, I now realise how authoritarian the rules were. It was oppressive and didn't harbour creativity. Their facilities were great but the support systems for students being bullied didn't work and didn't stop bullying, or even deter it. People getting bullied got bullied further when they reported it. Additionally, regardless of how much the head will say it's wrong, there's a definite bias towards caring more about grades than well-being, and even though the teachers don't try to show that, you can tell they have pressure from higher ups, and that's absolutely no discredit to the teachers. Overall, I would never recommend going. But if you do go, advice from an ex-student: focus on your friends and appreciate your teachers. Don't feel too bad if you're not where you're meant to be. I never was and I turned out ok in the end.
