Came across this lovely little place this evening and was delighted by the space and most of all the music. However, our wonder was cut short as soon as soon we had sat down. Although the food and drinks were lovely, the service was below par. We had to wait at least 30 minutes to order and although food came quick drinks were very very slow. It then seemed impossible to get any more service. The cherry on the cake was when we had ordered our last drinks, waited 30 minutes, to then be told when we asked that they were busy (with only 5 other tables in) and they would be coming soon. It turned out that they were not aware of our order as he came back to take them again. Which after waiting another 10 minutes we decided to cancel the order and end our night. We then ordered our bill and waited a further 15 minutes whilst the waiter brought chairs in from outside to which we had to go and find someone working, who then brought over a bill and had charged us for the drinks we never even got (or ordered according to the other waiter). Overall we paid 100 for such a poor experience which left us feeling very low. With this being our first special outing since the lockdown was lifted we were very disappointed and will not be returning again which is a shame, as the place had lots of potential.

We ordered a take out Sunday roast lunch while restaurant are impacted with Covid restrictions. Easy to order and collect - although I understand delivery is available - and the chilled food (roast beet, roast potatoes, carrots, parsnips, red cabbage, Yorkshire pudding and gravy) was easy to heat up within 23 minutes with clear instructions. A really tasty treat and made better with a homemade banoffee cheesecake. Highly recommended and excellent value given the portion size and quality.

So glad we found this place. Faultless from start to finish. The Korean flatbread was delicious, the beer perfect, the atmosphere welcoming, covid measures reassuring and the staff couldn't have been kinder! All the best for the future!

I always feel sorry for the waiting staff that try their hardest to provide you with great service (as they did here), when the kitchen is as slow as a snail. Waited 45 minutes from ordering the food to getting it and I'd ordered off the \sides\ and \starters\ to keep things quick. Having ordered the nachos (without guacamole and sour cream), I was given what you can see in the photo. The topping was nice, yes, but why there was only enough to cover the very top layer of tortilla chips, I don't know, especially as they were 8.50. The management were keen to offer a free round of drinks, but I'd only half drunk my cola as I didn't want to fill up on a drink. We ended up getting 20% off our bill, but I asked why the service had been slow, suggesting a problem with the kitchen. The response was that they were busy upstairs which makes me wonder how they'd cope with the place being full! Again, I'd empathise that the waiting staff were lovely and I imagine a night out here would be great. Just make sure that you get the waiting time you deserve - the manager specified 20 minutes is their average.

Good food and friendly service from the staff and crew. Helpful and polite wait staff however was some slight wait for the food, when it arrived was perfect for a rainy day in York, others seem to enjoy the loaded fries and burgers, whilst I had their signature dish the bullette which was brilliant. Of note is the kids eat free offer, so your kids can also enjoy the delectable food from the kitchen.
