The mission of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is to provide its service area with adequate and reliable supplies of high-quality water to meet present and future needs in an environmentally and economically responsible way. \ On a hilltop in Yorba Linda you will find the Robert B. Diemer plant which is also home to Metropolitan Water District supplying water and electricity to Orange and Los Angeles Counties. Source of water is the Colorado River Aqueduct and the State Water Project. The facility has a treatment capacity of 520 million gallons a day. In 2015 it was retrofitted for ozone treatment.
