Picked up my lovely friend from Broadwalk when she had expected home delivery from iceland (who weren't doing it, she found out after queuing for half hour) helped her put all her shopping in and helped her into the house the other side! Brilliant service, helping older people at ths difficult time!
I hate writing bad reviews but I’m a staff nurse at a busy Bristol hospital. One morning after I’d been working many shifts during this pandemic, I arrived at work and realised I’d forgotten my uniform top. It was at home by the front door. I was panicked but suddenly thought taxi! I rang yellow cabs and this really helpful and nice guy in the phones dispatched a car to my house. I had no cash though so my husband asked roughly how much it would be. He said round about 20 ( gulp!! for a uniform but it was my own fault) so my husband gave him 25 to give me the change. The cab arrived outside the hospital 15 minutes later. But the man offered no change and the more I thought about it I think how mean are they? A nurse in distress during COVID crisis. I wasn’t asking for a discount but that was very steep. I won’t do that again in a hurry but also won’t use yellow cabs again.
