I always visit here when I am in Hastings its as traditional an English pub as it can be. I love it. It looks as though it was build from shipwrecked galleons, it has so much atmosphere. Don't forget to go down stairs to checkout the fantastic old fireplace.

Firstly, thank you for being the only place we ate where the staff were wearing masks & incredibly high on cleanliness. Four of us popped in for a mid afternoon meal yesterday, from start to finish the staff were wonderful, the food was amazing (Oh the pies are superb), the guy serving us even better as the banter we had with him serving us was brilliant. (Chips & peas or mash & veg... he’ll know!,, ) it’s been a while since we were in Hastings & we always visit here as the staff are superb & it’s just a lovely place to spend time in. Thanks to all the staff for making our time with you so special. Will see you soon! X

A lovely busy little pub, staff were very obliging, a special thanks to Tyler and your lovely colleague who had the most amazing hair!! It has a nice selection of wines, and from what I could tell the little shots and cocktails were being enjoyed. Very nice decor with what looked like original beams... Watch your head if your tall!! A very pleasant evening, table service was very good and was never left waiting for attention. Didn't have any of the food, but noted all plates going back were empty, so I assume food is good quality. Prices were, as to be expected... 4.90 for Guiness and around 7.00 for glass of white wine. It was a thoroughly nice evening and locals were very helpful and friendly... Thanks to Steph of the Travelodge for the tip to visit.

Tasty sunday roast 9.50, can get extra large portion 10.95 (comes with more meat and sides, possible to mix meats too). Delicious apple crumble and custard, 1 for 4.95, 2 for 7.50. Working fireplace, beautiful original decoration and stained glass. Lovely staff.
