The food is excellent. The staff are faultless. The clientele are very friendly and welcoming. A roast beef Sunday lunch for 11 sovs. You cant go wrong. If youbard in upton on a Sunday give it try you won't be disappointed. I wish i could give this place more than 5 stars.

On the Cask Marque Ale Trail, this really Olde Worlde tavern well deserves the accreditation. This is the sort of establishment that some American visitors think about when they imagine pubs in England - and this is not the only one in town - but the only one on the Ale Trail. Kim, our barmaid, was polite and engaging and knew how to pore 20 fluid ounces of golden nectar. An agreeable visit.
The moment I walked through the door the smell of the food cooking made me feel at home. The staff welcomed us we a bright smile and showed us to our table which took into consideration one of our party was blind and had a guide dog. They brought a bowl of water over for the dog. The decor was very interesting warm and welcoming I have to say the food was hot and fabulous each plate was presented well and looked equally delicious. Everything was reasonably priced. I can highly recommend eating here anytime you visit Upton. So I'll definitely be dropping my anchor at Ye Olde Anchor Inn
Sat in a quaint little courtyard garden out of the wind and in the shade. Great. Really good quality food and pleasant friendly staff. Would thoroughly recommend. Felt quite safe in the current circumstances.
