Really nice old style pub, good selection of beer, cosy inside and have made great use of their quite large outside space. Dogs are welcomed, there is even a 'doggy bar' of water bowls provided. The staff were friendly and efficient and someone who I think must be the manager tried to engage me in conversation by asking me how my Christmas had been. Poor man, I'm sure he was not expecting my response of how my kitten had been rescued by the fire brigade. Gratuitous photo attached. Oh! And I had a lovely pint of Guinness in front of the fire.
Not a big pub goer but this is a nice one and historic. It's an old coaching stop on what was once the \Great North Road\ Landlord is happy to pour a snifter if you want to try something you're not sure of. Can get very busy Christmas and New Year though in these times I imagine you'll have to book a table ahead.
Excellent pub very friendly staff really dog-friendly actually change the water in the bowl not like one round the corner where your dog has to leave at 9 lol
The Ye Olde Mitre Inne Barnet has been excellent since re-opening. All social distancing in place and plenty of room. The real ales have all been of decent quality since re-opening. I've had some food on a number of occasions and I've found it to be tasty, well cooked and good value for money. As always the bar staff are friendly, polite and professional.
