Gorgeous food, fantastic service, beautiful restaurant .

My wife and I had occasion to stop in Biddenden for morning coffee and chose Ye Maydes Restaurant, just because we happened to be able to park immediately opposite. The weather was great and we were able to take our coffee in the garden. The ambience, the cleanliness of the restaurant and toilets, the friendliness of the lady who served us (she was the owner but I regret that I did not find out her name) and the presentation and taste of the coffee made the entire experience exceptionally enjoyable. Had it been lunchtime, or evening we would certainly have stayed for a meal which I am in no doubt would similarly have been excellent.

Comfortable, leisurely, of a bye-gone age, low-beamed ceiling, excellent dining and friendly service with just a hint of the eccentric. Check opening times. Off-street parking close by. Would that it were nearer!
