On arriving at muse I really liked the ambiance of the restaurant. We were greater by friendly waiting staff who showed us to our table. So far so good! Unfortunately I can only give Muse 3 stars for this experience. Whilst the menu is ambitious I felt the calamari was undercooked and the skin on the duck should have been crisper and the chicory over powered the taste of anything it had touched. The dessert was delicious, especially the blueberry ice cream. Unfortunately for just under a 50 meal I would have expected more consistency across all three course.

Muse caters for both casual visitors wanting a coffee as well as a for a more formal lunch or dinner. It’s definitely where we would go if wanted to take someone out for special dinner in Yarm. They have a great menu with fresh ingredients as well as a separate vegan menu which is always welcomed. Friendly staff and a very nice place to spend an evening in your want to go out for dinner rather than just grab something. Muse is part of a group of other popular restaurants in the area. I’d definitely recommend Muse!
