A.D 1640. Restored 1872. Wythburn Church, surrounded by forest, it’s a place who anyone may enter and visit. It’s a place where anyone may think about his personal life track. You may think about what was in your life and what will in your future. Years ago, the Wythburn village was full of life. It was a place of residence for miners and farmers. There was a small school as well as. The life of the residents was strongly associated with the Wythburn parish. The year 1879 changed a quiet life drastically when Manchester Corporation Waterworks started to build a reservoir for quick growing up towns of North England. My visit to Wythburn Church took place during my Thirlmere loop in July 2020. It’s a charming and peaceful place. Must visit.

Beautiful place, so close to the Loch, what a view. Wonderful place for a wedding!
Tranquility and the most amazing setting.
This wee chapel stands on the footprint of an Anglo Saxon church but, in its current form is an 11th century chapel with an 18th century addition. A quite stunning example of ancient ecclesiastical architecture.
Very nice place to visit.
