Covid arrangements are sound, distancing and hand sanitizer good. When we waited a staff member walked past and didn't say anything such as, 'be with you in a minute' or similar welcome. Didn't wait too long though and went to order. The assistant who took our order wasn't all that friendly and when I asked about the 'freshly prepared baguettes' pointed to a set of 5 plates with baguettes all wrapped in cling film. No vegetarian options. We ordered a brie and bacon baguette which came with a salad, which was very coarsely chopped (see picture). The baguette was dry and had no dressing such as chutney. The soup was warm, not hot but did come with a sizable chunk of bread. The Americano coffee was nice but the pot of tea made a nice first cup but incredibly stewed second. Perhaps they're running a limited menu and staff but the overall experience could've been better.

Cafe was very disappointing. We ordered 2 jacket potatoes with topping @ 6 45 each. For that all we got was a baked potato with a couple of spoonfuls of topping - that's it. What a rip off!! Plant centre and shop are good but definitely wouldn't recommend cafe.

Good outside seating area. Super brew & cream tea. Other cakes looked great too.

You get 8 out of 10 on my personal covid-19-safe league table. We would have felt more reassured if the reception girl on the way into the restaurant had been wearing a vizor and the tables outside would attract more 'vulnerable' people like us if the seats didn't have puddles of water in them!
