Wonderful locally roasted coffee - my first choice for coffee beans
Well made coffee. Relaxed atmosphere. Dog friendly. Does what it sets out to do. Didn't try the food but it looked good.
The coffee is drinkable but like the Gardens of Caversham cafe, they don't have a menu, nor display prices for anything which is a dishonest practice and annoying not to know what you can expect to pay in advance. The place doesn't appear to be the cleanest, so I wasn't surprised to hear that they have been previously shut down by the council for a rat infestation.
Some people like what they do; these guys are passionate. A huge variety of roasts and beans from around the world. Extremely knowledgeable staff and the owner is the roaster. If you love coffee, Workhouse would love to give you what you want.
