A large beautiful cathedral and a place of Christian worship and prayer for over fourteen centuries. The present building was begun in 1084 and is dedicated to Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Inside the building also details the history of the connection with King John. Open during Covid times but please wear a mask. Located directly opposite the square with bus stops also next to main shopping area.

Worcester cathedral is beautiful even with the covid restrictions in place and a one way system .you couldn't get as close to some of the beautiful stained glass windows as usual and you could not get close to king John and prince Arthur's tombs which was a bit disappointing but it was still wonderful to visit . The cafe and cathedral shop were still open . It is still free to enter and walk around but a voluntary donation will help with the upkeep of this gorgeous building. The staff who are dotted around inside the cathedral are very friendly and informative and will help you if possible with almost any question concerning your visit. Make sure to visit the crypt during your visit it is the oldest part of the cathedral.
Went to their carols by candlelight concert yesterday evening. Very organised re COVID. Lovely concert. A bright point in an otherwise uneventful Christmas
I love Worcester Cathedral. Best place for Worship regardless of religious. I believe only one man upstairs. All the people in the Cathedral very loving and caring nature also will give us warm welcoming.
Absolutely beautiful private funeral for my cousin during this difficult Pandemic time we are living through. So very special. What an amazing Cathedral. I will revisit when it is safe to really explore all its history.
