I’ve been to this bike shop many times to get my tyres repaired or changed but every time the tyres seem to get a puncture or deflate only after only a few uses. At this point, it’s clear the quality of work is very poor. I’ve noticed this problem get worse more recently. It seems that due to increased demand after COVID, the quality of their work has plummeted and they are more interested in making money than offering a good service. On one occasion, I hadn’t used my bike in a while so wasn’t sure which tyre had punctured and instead of offering a pump to figure out which one it was, they just insisted on changing both of them “as they didn’t have time to figure out which one it was”. There was no friendliness, just a clear desire to maximise their profit during the COVID rush. Very disappointing. Would highly recommend another bike shop if you don’t want to find yourself coming back many times to spend more money due to a poorly done job.

I would be glad to recommend a local bicycle shop like this, but unfortunately I can only suggest to go and find another one if you want to avoid paying more than you agreed and leaving with a bike that is less functional than it used to be, as this is exactly what happened with me. I cycled to the shop with my bike and asked for my rear wheel to be fixed as it was wobbling. They said they can try to fix it and it will be roughly 35. However, when they called, they said the wheel could not be fixed and that the rear wheel was damaged so I could not even cycle away with my bike. Regardless, they said they would still charge for the work, and eventually persuaded me to buy a new wheel for which I had to pay over 70. After all this when I took the bike, I realised that my suspension seat – which was working perfectly before and costs 150! – is not functional anymore as it could not be fixed at a selected position, so I basically could not sit on the seat. When I mentioned this, they took no responsibility for it at all in the shop. So, I ended up paying more than double than I expected, and I had to take a bike that I could not even sit on…
Took my trusty old Dawes bike in as I had a flat tyre. I also asked that they would look at the gears and brakes and do anything else that was necessary. The bike now feels as good as new and I am very happy with the work done. It was a very reasonable price too. Thank you very much!
Super friendly, helpful and quick service! What more could you want? Ha! I had a part on my bike fixed and it was dead easy and very reasonably priced. Really good service and I'll be bringing my bike back here whenever I need to. Thank you!
