Wool and Crafts Cromer

I have always found this shop to be exciting and fun to explore. The man behind the counter has patience to help me in and out with my walker and also to advise on buttons and ribbons. Their wool range is excellent and the patterns are good ranging from easy to expert knitter or crocheter. On occasion I have been unable to get into the shop but when I phone in an order it is posted out to me that day without a problem.

Whenever I am on holiday in Norfolk, I try to visit this shop. A lovely selection of yarn that always inspires me. I always see things I haven't seen before. I have never yet regretted a purchase! There is also good advice when asked for. A gem of a place.

Most unfriendly and unhelpful staff. While visiting the town I called into this shop to purchase some knitting needles. I also asked for some advice on a knitting stitch. But was told that as I had not purchased the pattern from the shop that she was not at liberty to give me any advice! Completely shocked at the women’s rudeness. I have never visited a knitting shop before where staff are not happy to help and advise. My pattern was a free download, all I wanted to know was if I was doing the stitch correctly. The woman had snapped at me that she had been knitting since she was 3 years old. What a shame she could not share some knowledge. Perhaps she is in the wrong job!
